My husbands constantly telling me that what I think is normal probably is not everyone else’s “normal” when it comes to food. Soooo keeping this in mind I figure it’s okay if I show you what I do to elevate simple $.99 store bought frozen pizza. Gasp ! 😲 I know, I know … the shock of finding out I buy and eat such a basic bitch food right 🤣 actually I serve them quite often. The kids like them and they are fast cheep and easy. You’re also probably thinking 🤔- that doesn’t look like any cheep ass frozen pizza I’ve been buying …. it is, I swear it is.
Here is the secret recipe: I’m cooking this simple cheep frozen pizza just like the directions on the package say to. Pull it with about three mins until done and add toppings to it. I add a fresh parsley, garlic, anchovies, and basil pesto I keep on hand. Supper fine diced shallots or onions. Diced olives, thin sliced banana peppers. Capers. Grated parmesan cheese. Bake/ broil for about three mins then top with fresh chopped basil.
Presto ! Bravo ! Served with marinara sauce for dipping or just as it is you have a hit on your hands every time. No one would guess you just handed them a pizza that costs less then $1.00!
Kids even gobble this up. You can adapt this for a more kid friendly version. Add chicken, mushrooms, onions, cheeses …. just doctor them however the kids might like. But this is where I usually take the opportunity to hide vegetables in the food. Kids will eat just about anything so long as it comes in the form of pizza or a cupcake 🤔😁👍🏼 point to all this is this : you don’t have to be some supper skilled chef to make great food. You don’t have to spend a fortune or make everything from scratch. Use what you have on hand and play with your food. Don’t settle- why when YOU can take ordinary and make it extraordinary 🤗
